Spring portrait

It's spring portrait time! I'm officially ready to bid winter adieu and head into the sunlight with families and kids. Here's a shot of one of my favorite kiddos.

Desert princess

We spent five days in Phoenix last week. This darling girl was kind enough to pose for a mini shoot with me at an amazing train park in Scottsdale. It's the same park I played at as a child. It's largely the same, which made me nostalgic!

One-year-old

I spent this afternoon photographing this sweet 1-year-old boy. His blonde curls and blue eyes made for some very vivid images. He spent much of the shoot demonstrating his crawling skills and speed when chasing my latte.

Follow the leader

We are lucky enough to live within minutes of several nature preserves and hiking trails. On Friday, the kids and I ventured around a trail, looking for wild rabbits, with our oldest as the leader.

One of my dear friend is fellow photographer, Rachael Crowe of Crowe Photography. Rachael and I spent a very unseasonabley warm afternoon photographing each other. What a blessing friends are, but especially friends who support each other in the industry! Here are two of the shots from our time together.

I relished in a day of photographing two of my own children today. We went exploring in a local nature preserve. After months of dreary winter weather, the sun finally peeked out today and give us a taste of spring!

Waiting for spring

This lovely blue-eyed duo and I were determined to have fun and get some great photographs today despite the wind. Despite the weather seems to be the phrase of this month since we are on the cusp of spring. However, beautiful afternoon light made for some great images. Playing superheroes didn't hurt either.

On a Sunday afternoon

I spent two hours this weekend photographing this baby girl. It was another day of beautiful sunlight streaming in from a window. That combined with her pure sweetness made for some unforgettable photographs. The last 30 minutes of our session included her three siblings. I'm so glad I was able to photograph all of them!

A break in the cold

It's not too often in the beginning of February when the winter weather hits the breaks. That's why I was lucky enough to head out with this sibling trio on a warmer than average Sunday. I was pleased we had great smiles to go with a sunnier day.
